STELLA DE MONT

“American photographer Stella De Mont explores moments of kinetic expansion between the human body and the living energy of the natural world. Created in landscapes of water, forest, and stone, the images emerge from an experience she describes as a direct encounter with the divine. Drawn to what she sees as the inherent mysticism of women – their intuition, receptivity, and mediumship – she often photographs two or three figures together. This presence amplifies communion and ritual, with bodies acting as an extension of the earth.

“We are incredibly sophisticated energy beings. We can look at a photograph of someone’s back and feel if this body is radiating reverence for what they are perceiving. I hope to capture a transmission that is contagious, that make our bellies soften with peace and belonging.”

Stella’s photography emerged organically from her work as an intuitive guide. While leading retreats and intensives, she began creating images for participants that reflected their liberated state; luminous and free of hierarchy, identity and status.
